Female high school volleyball coach is charged with having sexual relations with 15-year-old girl on her team
A volunteer volleyball coach at a high school has been charged with having sexual contact with a 15-year-old high school student.
Willyncia Joy Harper, 22, was charged on Friday with School Employee Engaging in Sex Act with a Student Under the Age of 19 and School Employee having Sexual Contact with a Student Under the Age of 19, according to WBRC.
The coach at Clay-Chalkville High School in Jefferson County, Alabama allegedly had numerous sexual encounters with the teen while the girl was at her father's house.
Harper posted $18,000 bail and was released the same say as her Friday arrest.
The teen's mother said she discovered the alleged relationship when she went to pick her daughter up at the girl's father's house on December 6 and saw that Harper was there alone with her daughter. She said she got an uneasy feeling and questioned the girl, who at first denied anything inappropriate.
